What data we collect

ChessGuard does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server controlled by us.

What stays on your device

• Your daily analysis count (resets every day, stored locally in your browser)
• Your license key, if you purchase ChessGuard Pro (stored in Chrome sync storage — synced by Google across your own devices only)

Third-party services

• Lichess Cloud Eval API — chess positions (FEN strings) are sent to lichess.org to retrieve engine evaluations. No personal information is included. See lichess.org/privacy.
• LemonSqueezy — if you purchase Pro, your license key is validated against LemonSqueezy's API. See lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

Permissions used

• activeTab / scripting — to read the chess game currently open in your browser tab
• tabs — to open a chess.com game page in the background when fetching by URL
• storage — to save your daily usage count and license key locally
• host permissions (chess.com, lichess.org) — to read game data from these sites only
